Anyways, good luck to you with Kane.
Why? You're in my division. You continuing to think like this will only help me kick your ass year after year.dave1959 wroteCOLONSuperMario wroteCOLONThank you for proving my point on your lack of understanding.dave1959 wroteCOLONthe ONLY stat that Plekanec is way better in, is face offs.

so explain it to me then......oh wise one.
With Plekanec, I've made a run to the BBKL finals in the playoffs and I've had the best record in the Eastern conference in the BBKL regular season, where TOR has Toews and Bergeron and TBL has Crosby, Stamkos and Giroux.gooker wroteCOLONShiv is like the only one that brags about pleks value (on how high it is) yet was the only one to ever reqlly hold onto him for ages. His point really about pleks is that he wud be moved only for quality stud pieces like kane etc. Hes made countless posts on his efficiency/stats throughout the past yr to show him up to us.
All in all pleks by NO means a bad player. He imo is considered a champions fantasy asset if healthy (and hes been) but he thinks god shud be offered in exchange for him
I didn't realize Plekanec single handedly won you games, I would have guessed you had 19 other players contributing to your success. I do think that no one would give you a fair value and he is an integral part of your team so it does make sense you have kept him as long as you have.SuperMario wroteCOLONWith Plekanec, I've made a run to the BBKL finals in the playoffs and I've had the best record in the Eastern conference in the BBKL regular season, where TOR has Toews and Bergeron and TBL has Crosby, Stamkos and Giroux.gooker wroteCOLONShiv is like the only one that brags about pleks value (on how high it is) yet was the only one to ever reqlly hold onto him for ages. He is the longer serving Penguin for a reason on a team where almost every player is traded.
If you don't see what I see in him that's fine. But I know why he is so valuable.
See image below. A lot of players people consider "Godly" in this league are remarkably close/slightly better/slightly worse versus Plekanec. There is a MASSIVE bias against Plekanec's name. I would reject Eric Staal, Henrik Sedin, Mikko Koivu, Jason Spezza all for him.Bruyns wroteCOLONCount me in as one of the people who doesn't know H2H well enough to appreciate the godliness of Pleks.
Last season: 33pts 24PIMs 133SOG 2GWG 26 hits 17 blocks 486 FOW 2:06 SHTOI/gm
Outside of FOW there is nothing special here at all and his periphs are pretty underwhelming. The guy is 31 and likely to begin a slow decline over the years as the reigns are handed over to other young up and coming players like Galchenyuk. Don't get me wrong he is a good asset, but to insinuate Dave would have to add to Kane to land Plekanec is just plain nutty to me.
Outside of high FOW why do you think he is so valuable? There are plenty of Cs putting up more offence, PIMs, SOG, hits and blocks.
This argument btw gives GMs a strategy to build a team..You don't need to sell the farm to acquire a Toews (there are replacement option). You don't need to pay 5 pieces for Sidney Crosby when for example, you can pick up Kunitz and Dupuis. That's how I've built my team without paying for the pieces people drool over.SuperMario wroteCOLONSee image below. Also, it is stupid to compare Plekanec or Mikko Koivu for example vs a scoring winger like Kane in terms of just stats because that isn't the issue. The issue is replacement value. In a yahoo league, for example, you can drop many players and pick up others and your team wouldn't skip a beat. Why is it in BBKL we don't think like that? How many players can you pick up like Plekanec?? He is a rare, rare mix of categories and that is where his value is.
