You could have had Frans Nielsen over Derek Roy.

OR

You could have had Grabo for Cooke + Tinordi and kept Eriksson.

And we're the morons. Lol...

Nielsen is a gem. 2.75M for what he brings is insanity.

Okay, going to stop trolling.

It's Shep's team, he liked this deal more. I will now move on.

Why would I ever want Nielsen over Roy?

Why would I ever want Grabovski for Cooke and Tinordi?

Backes for Simmonds + Goc
JVR for Fisher + Tinordi
Eriksson for Roy + Rattie
Before these trades I had 2 centres, 7 W and 6 D. Wasn't very comfortable heading into the season with that line-up.

Context is everything.

Gaining 1300 FOW is a pretty good addition when it was the only thing my team lacked.

we have nothing better to do, than discuss your team!

also, Loui scored a nice goal today
Love those knee deflections.

Eriksson will never put up 70pts again. Going from Line 1 with an elite Brad Richards and PP1 to Line 2 and PP2.

I'll keep that to myself.

As Fair Deals Steve would say, great trade for both teams here!

Im loving Reilly Smith on that line with Bergeron and Eriksson and PP2. Marchand getting the bump to line 3. Eriksson is good but he is no longer one of the main guys, just complimentary. Very similar to most Bruins. Too deep of a team. that will be my problem this year with so many b's. Boychuk, Bartkowski, Rask, Johnson, Smith, Iginla. I still am unsure about Roy but thats just me. In hindsight after Hartnells injury, I wish i had made the trade...lol slow horse I am. Good deal fellas

Meh I still think eriksson should touch 60 +.

Even if he doesn't I'm such a huge fan of his that I won't really care. He is still only 28 too so I can hold him for a few years before he needs to be shopped. I'm not winning any centre cat like fow so I thought why not try to stack my wingers some more?

it's why when im making a move and it's a deal I like I try to pull the trigger asap. Especially if the player I am shopping is prone to getting injured or has had a down year...you know?

sometimes i take an hour or two to think about it or to do a bit of research on the player but that is a bit different.

Each person has their own way of running their team though so it is what it is...

On top of the expected drop in offence he contributes pretty much nothing in terms of periphs. Doesn't hit, doesn't take penalties and only seeing 30 seconds of SHTOI so far. I like the deal for Shep, but the Backes and JVR deals no so much, but understand why he wanted to make them.

If Roy gets 50pts and Eriksson gets 60pts, I'll gladly take all the FOW that costs me 10-12pts.

TOI/G
Eriksson: 16:56 (4th among forwards)
Roy: 13:43 (8th among forwards)

PPTOI/G
Eriksson: 2:34 (4th among forwards)
Roy: 2:09 (2nd among forwards)

SHTOI/G
Eriksson: 0:31 (6th among forwards)
Roy: 0:11 (8th among forwards)

Eriksson will get more ice-time, but IMO the FOW easily make up the difference in offence if there ends up being one. While extremely minimal, Roy tends to get more Hits, BS, PIM than Eriksson. Though not enough to matter.

Eriksson for Rattie and Jokinen

Sometimes I amaze myself.
