Kuznetzov himself has already admitted that he is not ready for the NHL next year and will remain with Traktor.

I think he meant locks as NHL players in the future, not necessarily next season.

I thought that went without saying, evidently not.

Yeah, I was going along the lines of a lock for this year. Orlov will definitely get a shot.

I'm still not sold on CBJ for this season. The Blue Jackets defense core is pathetic, especially if Hejda walks, and Mason has been a mediocre at best net minder since his rookie season. Barring a breakout season from Johansson, I don't even like the depth of their forward core outside of (Nash - Carter). They are still a year or two away in my opinion.

They could make it in 3 years for all I know, the initial point I was getting at, is that the Caps have not strayed away from Russia. Three of their top 5 prospects are Russian born, so for the time being they are still committed to the Russian market.

IMO CBJ has some very under rated players on it. Mark Methot who imo is Robyn Regehr is one guy that is really starting to take a major role on that team and excel. Fedor Tyutin and RJ Umberger are also never given the credit they deserve. I just see it like this (if hejda and wiz sign).

Huselius - Carter - Nash
Umberger - Vermette - Upshall
Calvert - Johansen - Brassard
Boll - Paulson - Dorsett

Mackenzie

Wiz - Hejda
Methot - Tyutin
Russel - Stralman

Commodore

Mason
Garon

To me that is starting to look like a pretty nice 7thish place team

Stralman wasn't qualified. He'll be a UFA ;)

Garon > Mason too.

Garon's a UFA.. I hope he re-signs with the Jackets but I'd think it would've been done by now.

Meh Stralman sucks balls anyway. I'd rather see someone else in that spot. Yea who knows with Garon, I think he goes elsewhere maybe colorado but who knows.

I don't think Hejda resigns in Columbus, and this is a substantial loss.

David "Savage" Savard might get a shot in Columbus this year. He looks like a beast in the making.
