Sens fan on Boreds:
I just heard Pierre Dorion, Sens' Director of Player Personnel on Team1200 say that Ottawa is not going after Savard as they cannot make him fit under the cap.
I suppose he's not Murray and room could be made via trades but sounds like both, the Spezza trade is dead, and so is the Savard acquisition.
At this point I find it hard to believe that Savard goes anywhere but Toronto...
1. Philadelphia already has Jeff Carter, Daniel Briere, Micke Richards at center, not to mention that they have 0 cap space to work with.
2. Ottawa apparently has no space and are not interested in Savard, as per the above quote.
3. Chicago...Need I say more?
4. Montreal has two centerman locked up long term (Gomez and Plekanec) and no cap space to work with unless they are able to trade one of the two, this seems unlikely given that Gomez is unmovable, and Plekanec was just resigned.
This leaves only one team as a viable trading partner...Still think the Bruins will be getting a "fair offer" for Savard Kyle?
