Had Beniers gone 1st, MacTavish wpuld have been my guy at 2. Honestly, everyone who has a top 10 pick this year is pretty much getting someone who has the talent that they could be 1st overall this season. Pretty much all the same caliber.

Sorry, I need to clarify. I did say earlier Clarke or Hughes would have been 2nd over Power for me. I wpuld have wanted to move back to pick up MacTavish rather than sit at two with one of those two guys. It's late. I'm contradicting myself. I'm going to bed. Good luck guys!

Side note, I was listening to The Draft Anylist today, it was his Columbus episode and he spent about 15 minutes of it talking about how Edvindsson was too hot headed when it came to making desicions with the puck. Some guys take too long, this guy tries to do stuff too quickly and it costs his team. Curious to see if this pick works out for Mik.

I think The Draft Analyst is a good guy, he tries hard... but poise with the puck is hardly something that Edvinsson lacks

Based on the info available on both players at the time they would have been selected I definitely take Brink. In hindsight some of these would be a lot more debatable, though I do still value Brink very highly. That said, Beniers would be my pick to become the best skater out of this draft class.

Do you watch these players, or just read about them? Because I watched both Brink and Beniers a good ten times before each draft, and there is absolutely no way I would ever have chosen Brink over Beniers.

Guess we'll find out if you're right in a few years. Regardless, I would rather not be in a position where I finally have the 1st overall pick and have to make a decision who to take if either were the best option available.
