I'm hoping this is just a lost year for him and either he gets back into a regular top 6 or 9 role with the Jackets or they move him this summer. They loaded up the roster at the deadline and he got squeezed out of the lineup. Wennberg doesn't seem to be a Torts guy. He'd be a good middle of the lineup guy elsewhere.
When I acquired him, I had him pegged for somewhere between his 40-point '15-16 season and the 59 points in '16-17. Last season was injury-filled. He just never seemed to get it going.
Jenner is pretty much what I thought he'd be this season but didn't expect him to stick at center. If I knew that's what the plan was with him, I probably don't do that trade just make add one center instead of two. I gave up my 1st thinking I'd be competing for a playoff spot and I don't have a lot of prospects to pay for what I considered to be an offensive upgrade and for a guy that I thought would be top 6 center on a good team.
I will say with certainty that my 2021 1st rounder isn't going anywhere. The success (or lack of) with my team in '19-20 will determine what I do for '20-21. I won't hesitate to do a substantial teardown after this next season if I'm not close enough to the playoffs.
I just won my first two league titles this year and I've got really nice start to a rebuild in ADHL along with the #3 pick from the lottery. This team here was disappointing but I had a solid year overall in fantasy hockey.
