I think based on the amount of first day claims, we could probably stretch the 2nd round to a full one.

I think the waiver draft is fine as is. Could even shorten it to 2 rounds for lottery teams only. Since I assume the object of the waiver draft is to get players in the hands of the teams that actually need them.

I think it is good the way it is. The reason the 2nd round was added just for lotto teams was to try and make the league more level. No need to change it.

All waiver draft picks are exempt in the year after we draft them.

Good to know! Even if they dont meet the waiver rules? For example if a guy like Kovalchuk was a FA and taken in Waiver draft, he would be exempt?

The rule takes place only if they've never played an NHL game before
