Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
What? Mike Richards and Chris Pronger were the heart of that run to the finals. Giroux was good but he was getting sheltered minutes on a line with Leino and Briere with Richie and Carter above him. Also, please tell me you didn't just use Flyers management to prove your point lol.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONAsk any Flyers fan who lead that team to the SC finals, and they will all say G. Obviously the management group concurs because it was G not Richards or Carter who they elected to build around.
Oh and hi Kareem !
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
If Richards, cater and pronger lead you to a sc why then why the fuck would you be trading them the next year? Well pronger is hurt but why trade that duo away.? I love to watch G play but I can say he hasn't been the same without jagr..... The flyers management raises a lot of questions IMO , look at their team now ?SuperMario wroteCOLONWhat? Because they are stupid. They became obsessed with the idea of goaltending. Signed Bryz to a 7M deal and needed to make room for him so got rid of Carter and Richards.cliff11 wroteCOLONIf Richards, cater and pronger lead you to a sc why then why the fuck would you be trading them the next year? They destroyed a team that could have won at least 1 stanley cup, maybe even 2 or 3. Some of the worst GMing post-lockout IMO.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
whatever... LOL at Giroux off the team
(even more so with Stamkos out, who was the n.1 right shooting option for the left side on PP1)

Good news for Mike, as Komorov wants to return to the NHL and hopefully Toronto.
He basically said he loved Toronto but they wouldn't offer up more than 5 or 6 mins a game. Hopefully we can get him resigned, he was a work-horse

How is a team that lacks grit not all over this guy? EDM should be knocking down his door.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Pretty much consistent with what he's been saying all year. Really looking forward to having him back.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
hopefully he doesnt end up in that wasteland, his game is a better fit on a good NHL team, he's a great guy to have but he'd do nothing for a shitty team.Nick wroteCOLONHow is a team that lacks grit not all over this guy? EDM should be knocking down his door.
he'd be awesome back on the leafs, the bruins, the habs, or in the west teams like the nucks, the ducks, Avs, etc.... teams that have solid top 2 lines that need his grit on the 3rd or 4th line.
heck, he'd be one of the better players in edm -- his grit/grind would be wasted.

i'm still bitter that the Leafs chose to sign Clarkson over having at least 2 of Komarov, MacArthur and Grabo.

clarkson has looked pretty good as of late.bma wroteCOLONi'm still bitter that the Leafs chose to sign Clarkson over having at least 2 of Komarov, MacArthur and Grabo.
We wouldn't have resigned MacA as he hates Randy. I think Grabo was a decision decided long before the thought of getting clarkson. However i do miss Komarov.
Maybe the leafs trade Kulemin for something and sign Komarev to a 2 year 4mil contract? he can play the exact same role and even a bit grittier.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Sure, but I don't think Clarkson will ever live up to his contract. The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONclarkson has looked pretty good as of late.bma wroteCOLONi'm still bitter that the Leafs chose to sign Clarkson over having at least 2 of Komarov, MacArthur and Grabo.

Clarkson should focus less on being "David Clarkson -- hockey player and quintessential team guy", and more on trying to put the puck in the net.bma wroteCOLONSure, but I don't think Clarkson will ever live up to his contract. The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONclarkson has looked pretty good as of late.bma wroteCOLONi'm still bitter that the Leafs chose to sign Clarkson over having at least 2 of Komarov, MacArthur and Grabo.

I'm pretty sure you become known as a "team guy" if you don't put pucks in the net.brockbirds wroteCOLONClarkson should focus less on being "David Clarkson -- hockey player and quintessential team guy", and more on trying to put the puck in the net.bma wroteCOLONSure, but I don't think Clarkson will ever live up to his contract. The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONclarkson has looked pretty good as of late.bma wroteCOLONi'm still bitter that the Leafs chose to sign Clarkson over having at least 2 of Komarov, MacArthur and Grabo.

I don't think Kules is fully appreciated if anyone think Leo can walk into his role in the NHL -
