This is the first computer I've built in ~ 4 years. Admittedly I spent a lot more on this one then needed....

Last time I built was in 2009/10 and I was a poor ass student then. I bought all the parts off kijiji/on the cheap and for $800ish I had a computer that lasted me until now. Games are super cheap on Steam compared to dropping $60 a title for AAA console games.

I still use my xbox controller for single player games, hooked up to my 47" for couch play.

sounds pretty legit to me. If there was a bomb MMO to play id be morei nterested in pc gaming. Alas Ive done my time with WOW and I think its stale now and has been for a while actually. Need something new in that market.

The downside to console gaming is certainly the 60$ pricetag on games. If you wait though you can get them cheaper.

Also, with PS+ you get all sorts of games free if you just have the patience to wait a little.

My 360 was modded and I paid $5 for games. It's going to be tough going back to paying full price for games now.

I have probably 200 games on steam, 100 of which I haven't even installed. It's almost overwhelming how much game you get per dollar on PC (assuming you choose to pay for your games at all).

PS+ sounds awesome actually. If I were consoling I'd def go that route over MS.

They stopped banning them after the big banhammer came down a few years ago. Had one banned box and replaced it for $100 on Kijiji so still cheaper than buying games. They just kind of gave up and you didn't have to do a bunch of firmware updates anymore and I broke street date with a couple games with no repercussions.

I think if you were already flagged for a ban you'd probably be screwed as soon as you went online though.

Really does show how tight a hockey rink is though…I dislike that I'll be missing this game, have my own game @ 9 :(

Maple Leafs prospect Connor Brown became the first player in the OHL to hit the 100 point mark this season last night in his 48th game
i dont know a lot about Brown, is he an overager? or does he actually have potiential?

i know Don Cherry was pissed he wasn't on the WJ squad.

It's a pretty big accomplishment for a 5th round pick and he has definitely improved his value and hopefully he can carry over some of his offensive skill to the pro game next year. Lots of previous examples of guys who tore up the CHL in their draft + 2 year and didn't amount to much so not getting my hopes up, but he does seem like a legit prospect at this point in time.
