didn't mean to say it's necessarily a bad thing ( even though it does seem to me it had a negative impact in his picks so far), more like pointing out he seems yet another of the many GMs that share that approach in fantasy. Just letting out my first impression on the new GM.
i wasn't criticizing your opinion, you know how to build a good team. I just dont mind his approach. Tim is in the west and already looks like a playoff team after 4 picks lol.

i suspect he goes with Gudbranson here, even though I'd go with Derrick Poulliot. Good picks either way.

Sad to see Edler go but happy he went over Kassian. Had to get rid of some cap and this accomplishes that and you guys never really valued Edler at all in any talks I had over the past year or so. I still see him as a strong BBKL piece and he puts up stats but With Hedmans contract going up I was gonna move him one way or another this offseason. So yup he's moved ahha.

Happy with losing Brown over Howard personally. Think Howard will have more trade value going forward. I think Tim may be underestimating the importance of re-trade value... this league is quite hesitant and undervalues relatively good stats in those 30-32 yrs plus.

His choices in goalie is the most intriguing part of this draft. You can probably get a decent forward or defenseman from most teams but which team does he identify as having the best goalie options. Passing on Howard was bold but there's no assurance he's starting anywhere next season. I have to believe Mrazek is the guy the Wings will protect.

Relatively pleased that Tim went with McQuaid over Schmidt. Interested to see how Schmidt's role changes next season with some roster turnover. Also, would've taken Howard. I think he gets traded this off-season.

Wonder if he goes Johnson + Stolarz + ?Markstrom +?Elliott... who else were potential options?

I feel with a certain amount of confidence he takes Stolarz. I think he takes Orlov over Markstrom. I'm thinking NY goalies+Stolarz is a strong possibility.

I think he made a huge mistake allowing Monk to protect Forsberg. I would have easily selected him.

Luke protected Korpisalo, not Forsberg.

I'm talking about the deal they made. Luke paid two 3rds for Tim not to select Forsberg. If I was Tim I wouldn't have made that deal.

Forsberg wasn't involved in the trade.

oh shit, look at that..the deal was for Kopri

I would have made the deal to protect Forsberg, I think he's going to be the better goalie.

Howard is a good goalie and we had lots of talks and I tried to push him in that direction early on. I think if he could have taken 4 goalies he probably would have selected Howard. Also talked about value, but if he wants to keep Brown for his stats rather than trade him he's actually pretty decent.

Agree he definitely had a good season. Best case scenario is if he gets bought out and puts up similar stats for less$$

Stolarz is a goner for him to trade, so he's got 2 goalie spots left to play with and both should be NHLers I would imagine since he'll need to reach goalie GP.
