I see the logic behind it actually. Holland should be playing higher than 4th line; but if thats the only place Carlyle is going to use him then hes better off with 1st line minutes with the Marlies. Ashton on the other hand is a perfect fit for a 4th line C role; and you're not going to stunt his upside by playing him on the 4th. As much as Holland deserves to be up; if Carlyle has no faith in him then he's beter off in the A for now.

Send Naz to the minors, Holland is way better 5v5.

Incorrect.

Holland should be used in a more offensive role. Instead, Carlyle gave McClement ridiculous minutes last night when we were DOWN 4-2 like he always does. Wake the fuck up Carlyle. What a fucking joke.

But JvR-Naz-Kessel was going too minus, Clarkson & McClement couldn't even get a shot on goal, and the shuffling began.


Now they need to dance some lines a little, but I'd run something like:

JvR-Bozak-Kessel
Kulemin-Holland-Lupul
Clarkson-McClement-Naz

D'Amigo - Ashton - toughness


Run Naz heavy on the PP, take away the draw and defensive pressure on 5v5 + some size to make some room for him.

What about Raymond?

Send D'Amigo to minors - or even better, toughness to the press box until needed. Not like our team is the sissy's it was 4 years ago.

McClement shouldn't be playing more than 10min a game unless we are short handed all the time. Playing him big minutes when the team is behind is indefensible since he is brutal offensively. Have never liked Carlyle and have been consistent in my beliefs he has been terrible for this team so this is nothing new and doesn't surprise me. McClement being used on a checking line doesn't work if said checking line is consistently outplayed and out shot. He should be playing with Orr on the 4th and barely seeing the ice unless we are on the PK.
