Correct.
SuperMario wroteCOLONAnyways, I hope Stamkos has a 6-8 week timetable.
And I hope Dave Bolland is ready for the Leafs next game against Minnesota.

Look up the word "need", and then look up Team Canada's talent pool. They will be just fine.

But on a positive note, this helps the Leafs chances of making the post-season.
I agree on forward not so much.

Their D and goaltending is going to be horrendous.

Let's just roll without Crosby, Stamkos, Toews, Doughty, Keith, Pietrangelo. We don't need any of them.

The only agreeable point you made is about this helping the Leafs in the playoff race.

This is an overconfident, and a dangerous assumption coupled by the fact that you wanna troll shiv. There isn't anybody in canadas roster that can replace sidney crosby no matter how deep our talent pool is

Before crosbys emergence the last decade and a half, we had mario leading the way with sakic in 2002. The olympic before that in 98 we still had gretzky + sakic etc in his prime. Without crosby it would be stamkos as the next best thing

A fractured tibula takes 4-6 months to recover from what I understand.

Yes, it follows from my statement that the Canadian national team should play without any of it's star players. God you are an idiot...

it's actually "tibia" and there's dozens of variations the fracture/break could have - it's impossible to estimate how long his recovery will be at this stage.

he could wear a cast for 6 weeks and be fine. or he could need surgery w/ rods and screws and be out 6 months minimum. hell, we don't even have confirmation anything is broken yet.

Claude Giroux, Ryan Getzlaf, Logan Couture, Patrice Bergeron, Matt Duchene, Joe Thornton, Jason Spezza, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Brad Richards, Mike Richards, Tyler Seguin is still miles better than anything any other country can have. The Canadian team doesn't have to replace Stamkos or Crosby with an equal talent, they just need to ice a roster better than any other nation.

People like to play up the competition, but the truth is that the only thing that can beat Team Canada is themselves, they are light years better than every other team in the world.

A fractured tibula takes 4-6 months to recover from, I think it's fairly safe to say that he will miss the Olympics, assuming that is the injury.

1) there is no such bone in human body part called tibula
2) if u by chance meant fibula., it is the thin leg bone on the lateral aspect of each leg, which should take upwards of 2-4 months to heal fully. Tibia, which is the thick bine on the medial aspect of each legs at least 2-3 times thicker in diameter than fibula may take longer than 4-6 months to fully heal but they will never be perfectly fused and unionized til about a years time

But anyway i sort of* agree with ur last post kareem. There were so many new posts delivered btwn the time it took me to finish my post on this stupid smartphone

I meant to type "fibula" and a fracture seems to be the best case scenario judging by Stamkos' reaction.
