Good clean (and hard) hit and inevitably, the Preds got butt hurt. Only leaves his feet because of the follow through and he rolls over on Josi. Much like with some of Kronwall's big hits...the follow through is where he leaves his feet. You drive and collide into a guy and sometimes the contact will cause the hitter to leave their skates. Some will hit with their legs and 'lift off' after delivering the hit.

I thought it was a great read on the play as well, I'm not sure if the hit was hard as it looks, some angles suggest Josi saw it last second and began to drop?

Downie probably likes that the preds lost their shit, he shouldn't have gotten a penalty, but the refs gave Weber 2x2, so... still got the Avs a PowerPlay.


Also a BS call on fisher in this game... hits Sarch as he's trying to escape with the puck next to his goalie... falls into his own goalie as a result of the hit, however that's not fisher's fault for Sarch choosing to skate with the puck next to his goalie, he's fair to be hit. IMO.

people out here make fun of dion on a daily basis. I literally get trolled more about dion (by my oiler/flames friends) than i do about the leafs in general. Dion is one hated NHL player around the league and fan base lol.

not cool. Sucks for the leafs as Kules was awesome so far, 2points, lots of hits and blocked shots, him and McClement are the forefront of our strong PK.

FWIW, blocking a shot in practice is different than being hit by a poorly aimed shot.
