Gardiner was no good.

Jets are going to make the playoffs.

Franson and Gardiner were great.

Our forwards all looked solid

Franson was the most reliable and consistent player on either team last night. Impressive game 1.

Jake had some elite plays and amazing reads, but also dropped the ball on the blueline for their shorty, and failed to respond when Ranger lost his man, something I expect Jake to handle. Dion was covering for Gunner all game I thought - but Gunner will find his form, he typically has an amazing feel for temperature of the situation.

i think tonight you'll see Ranger out and Rielly in.

Ranger was our worst player by a wide margin last night.

One play really bothered me last night -> Raymond and Bolland on a 2:1, and bolland stopped skating, losing the 2:1. Now, NDB has we got a bounce and Raymond scored, but DB was doing some weird things last night.

it was a 2 on 1, he slowed up to keep the pass lane open. weird thing to nitpick.

he fell right out of the play...kept the lane open at the blue-line maybe, but I saw him lose the pass option.

errrr im not so sure.

perhaps an extra push at the hash marks separates him from the backchecker, but the only reason the pass was available to that point was bolland slowing down to keep the lane open.

I was having this debate with myself while watching. Not sure what the right answer is.

after watching it again, i'd put that more on raymond than anyone. he was slowing down and telegraphing the pass the second he entered the zone. bolland's only option was to slow down and try desperately to keep the pass an option. eller catches him from behind because bolland has no other option.

im not sure what nick is hoping for bolland to do there. drive the net and try for a rebound? it's a 2 on 1.

I actually think Raymond should've gone for the shot as IMO that was the best option on the play. The passing lane was closing/closed. If Bolland sped up though, there's a chance another lane opens up but I can't be sure about that.

i'd trade bolland for grabo

I would easily keep Grabo over Bolland..shit is crazy.

I see raymond slow down as well, but if bolland drove the options are greater than them both slowing down.

I agreed with announcers that Price looked shaky, however they made it sound like he wasn't stopping the puck...I thought he made some great saves, they just didn't look nice.

Price was the only reason we didn't beat montreal 8-3.

sure Reimer looked good as well, but he didn't make as many outstanding saves as Price.

Gawd, that one save on Bolland was incredible.

Lets call it the "save of the year" so far ;)

Hahahah

If Kessel had buried his shot when he jumped Markov (?) that would be an early GOY candidate.

Let's update this list daily :P

Dvorak finally signs his deal with Carolina...only a $600,000 cap hit for one year. From what the Canes fans on HF have been saying, he's been a solid veteran presence during camp and the preseason and is nice fit on the third line. Most importantly...I get another active winger.
