I think putting Malkin and Ovechkin together was a mistake...they needed two Datsyuks to pass the puck to the snipers. Kovalchuk played well with Datsyuk. They have guys that demand the puck and can score but any team with defensive structure and good goaltending can neutralize that one-on-one skill.
