i got pretty excited when luongo let in 4 goals in the first 2 periods so i wrote a song

the first time i saw it during that 2nd round matchup i was like: The Winner!
it's like those special moments in the NHL playoffs.. when you get that feeling.. and once it's over you realize you instantly know where to look back to identify the moment that made all the difference.

yep, the abysmal Western Conference won it all with the team that i think was 7th in the Conference standings with something like 1 week left in the regular season.

Things went about like I expected...Shiv had the edge in goal (took all 4 categories including a shutout) but I like Chicago in most of the other categories. Anton had a really solid group on defense this year. I'm also impressed that he was also able to win without Neal for the most part. Shiv was not a typical 8-seed...he did have a contending team and I wasn't shocked he knocked off Kareem and that he went this far.
