Yeah, I thought this also but I think claiming a guy off waivers from another team while in season was still okay since the waiver process was still in play until our season was done. I thought we were just not allowed to claim a free agent until the waiver draft and then again when the following season starts.

I assume we all have to obey the cap and roster/contract rules still.

He did have a free call up which he took advantage of. After that he waived Turco for reasons of his own.
