Rumors I have heard the reason Savard hasn't been traded yet because his list is so small in the way of teams he will play for with it only being Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. Ottawa can't afford him and neither can Montreal and Toronto does not want to take on a lengthy salary with the injury concern.
Another rumor reported out of Philly is that Nabokov's asking price was too high and therefore they have turned their attention to Marty Turco and reportedly have offered him a one year contract somewhere in the range of 2-3 million dollars.
Just because I hate Max Afinogenov the rumor is he is probably headed to the KHL after rejecting Atlanta's offer. LOL god I hate that guy.
The last rumor I read and I will repeat rumor because I won't believe until I see it is that the Sabres will be buyers in this year market. I will be shocked because they just don't go after things, but this is depending on that Lydman and Tallinder don't resign because the rumor is they would like to test free agency with the cap increasing.

And Nick was right. Savard has only waived his NMC for Toronto and Ottawa for the 2010 2011 season which begins on July 1st. Savard's teams increase to 5 after Jul 1st but his waiving was only for one of those two teams, not the 3 more that will be added after July 1st. (MTL, CHI, PHI, I think)

It just occurred to me that I am setting myself up for catastrophic disapointment if nothing happens this offseason...Not only in regards to Savard, but also Kaberle and adding a goal scoring winger.

IMO lombardi would be crazy not to resign in PHO for at least another year. He fell into the "moore" factor hard. He was a perfect fit for that team/system and would be less productive for other teams.
As for armstrong everything I hear about him (since I have him I have been very interested) points to toronto. There is no way he wants to stay in ATL who would....

His agent said today that he wants to play for a big 'hockey market' team, but will only sign on a 4 year contract.

Lombardi, Michalek and Stempniak are all 100% leaving Phoenix, there is no reason to sign there, very little insurance with the team these days...
it sounds like Torres will sign here for nothing... but i'd rather he signed here for 1.2M and worked his bag off... rather then be an inconsistent ginger @ 800k.

I hate torres such a dirty little shit. IMO colby is wayy better for you guys and yea 3rd liner sums it up. He is not a team savior but a piece of the puzzle. Lombo may be coming but imo its a bad decision on his part. Fits pheonix and toronto has bozak and kadri, two up and comers. I never like kadri till wjc and now I am a bigger believer in the guy than probably everyone on here but kareem. I just dont see lombo getting the ice time after one year, then he would be right back to where he was in calgary on the 3rd line. Great for you guys but for his career, dumb.
Lombardi is a 3rd liner on a good team, he will do the same in Toronto if he signs, perhaps fill in if an injury occurs or until Kadri is ready to fulfill his role. As for Armstrong, I want no part of him and his 2.5-3 million dollar contract demands...
