Price of Phaneuf has been consistent since the off-season; top 10 bbkl/h2h dman, maybe even on the cheap side! Good deal for Chuck, as long as he doesn't let his anti-leaf blinders taint Phaneuf's value to him.

Easiest win here; older C who is having a slow second half, great value and more then just GP from steckle, Matt will have to do something good/logical with these firsts in order to improve his team for next season. I know I personally have been waiting for Matt to right this shift ! Every year he hints at a roster breakthrough and self entrance into the top of the league GMs; just needs to stay focused for a prolonger period of time, ahhh the cost of a wife + kid... not worth it buddy!

To Pittsburgh

Hard to land good C approaching playoffs in BBKL just as it is in real life; and this shows it! HEAVY price (1st + 4th for Gaustad!!!). However Cullen can be complete h2h, and Burns can be 90% of Phaneuf. Problem is neither of them are currently producing at their desired rate, likely why they were even available though.


Net cycle means Chuck with the best piece,wasn't cheap but assets he can afford for the upgrade. Shiv worked and clearly made the deal happen IMO, and landed that upgrade @ C he'd been after. Matt is the team who clearly landed the most suitable return and was likely the easiest for him to say yes. Here again we have a solid BBKL trade.
