I simply care about the league i'm into becoming even better instead of worse, apparently you don't.
So i'm doing what i can for that matter, if others decide otherwise they will be the ones to be blamed when some teams will find themselves playing pointless regular seasons.

If a team's division is hard, TOUGH. Find a way to be in the top 4. If you're not in the top 4, then build your team so that it is the next year.

Be a good GM. Adapt to the new system.

Let's be honest..if you're not a top 4 team in your own division, you probably don't have a shot at winning the championship anyways and therefore it shouldn't be a big deal if you don't make the playoffs.

probably.. and probability means the contrary might happen.
Besides, eliminating better teams before the start of the playoff and during the first round make for less competitive (less interesting) playoffs and SFC.

On top of that, your point ignore the fact some conferences might become boring during the regular season.

Mik, your points actually have NO validity. you are just making shit up and writing novels in every post. it's getting annoying to read when you're trying to change the most basic principle that this league has been built on: our standings and playoffs follow the NHL to the letter. You are trying to argue that some conferences will be harder than others. That principle holds far lower priority. This is the best I can explain it:

Priorities In Order:

1) Emulate NHL Standings/Playoff Format
2) Weeding out as many unfair policies in place

You are trying to make Priority #2 more important than Priority #1. And you keep listing arguments for why Priority #2 is in jeopardy here. That makes for a terrible argument. Why?

1) This is how it will be in the NHL. If the Leafs finish 5th in their Conference with 107 points but the Coyotes finish 2nd in their Conference with 105 points next year, then that is how it will be. The NHL isn't creating a "handicap" for that.
2) As unfair as you are making it sound, it really is not. If you are not a top 4 team in your conference, then you won't win anyways. You keep listing shitty arguments for something that will be inconsequential.

The best precedent for this was Relocation in BBKL. Kareem was not allowed to move even if that meant creating a more "balanced" conference in both East and West.

So again. Try as hard as you want, but Priority #1 will not be superceded by Priority #2.

funny to read that, considering when i joined the league we had the Hartford Whalers instead of the Ottawa Senators.. I mean, there was a glaring difference with the NHL standings, and because of shallow reasons, not even because of fairness or competitiveness.
