All still too raw in general... maybe learn some brushing techniques/effects. You pick nice stock photos so that's a plus. Something I find lacking in Shiv's banners but he has more creativity.

Easiest way to start Billy:

- Cut out the player (or you can get cuts from here: http://www.sportzin.com/cutgallery/cutg ... php?cat=40 ) -> Make sure you save the picture and not copy/paste or it won't work. Gotta save it, then open it in Photoshop.
- Blend a couple stock photos for a background, you can get abstract shit, or just a stock photo in general
- Look online for tutortials for text, backgrounds, effects, etc


Practice makes perfect. Trial and Error.

And it's solid Billy. But yeah Shep pretty much said what I was going to. Start with a Cutout (Good way to do so is by Google searching for a Render i.e. Patrice Bergeron Render) and you get all bergeron pics as .PNG files which have already been cut out. THe transposing technique takes time to perfect but mess around with cutting out bergerons head and putting it in a sens jersey/changing the team logo on his helmet. The background/text is all up to you. Go abstract/on ice stuff/city or landscapes depending on what you are feeling.

Actually, I was amongst the elite group of gfx'ers in my prime. With PS CS2. Ran a forum with a bunch of Japanese anime nerds from narutomania.com (RIP now) making cool anime character banners with some of the craziest craziest effects and brushing techniques handed down from the gfx gods themselves. I eventually scrapped the whole hobby because I gripped into reality and these internet nerds started cutting themselves. It made me wanna never touch graphics again.

you can get PS from torrents for free. Adobe also has a free trial online.
