Out of curiousity, who here has played sports above the house league or recreational level?

Tier-1 soccer (small town.. wanted to play CSL but too much travelling), All-Star baseball, All-star hockey (tried out for AAA in Sault Ste. Marie one year, was the last goalie cut), played football in highschool (fullback/safety).

I absolutely loved playing it.. what amazing shape I was in when I was playing soccer. It was like being in the fucking army, running up hills, long distance running, sprints.. and that was just fucking practice. I just cannot sit through a game on TV, the most boring thing (IMO) to watch. I also loved playing indoor soccer.. I remember playing when I was younger (15ish) on my Uncles team and we played against Peter Zezel.. that guy fuckin ruled lol.

Again, I loved playing soccer.. the indirect physicality, I looked for it.. I've laid out guys waaaaaaaaay harder playing soccer then hockey or football.. because they aren't expecting it.. I've made a few guys cough up blood.. man I'm missing soccer right now lol

I played soccer in junior high and got a red card on my very first shift. I body checked a guy thinking it was legal. Never was too successful. But i did play Football, volleyball and rugby in high school. Played competitive baseball pretty much my whole life until university. Was a late starter in hockey and never made it out of house league. My favorite sport to play now (if it can be classed as that) is golf. Nothing better than getting out with three friends and drinking and driving carts while betting each other and wacking a ball around. Its pretty sad how things change when you get into your 30's, married with a kid! quite a life change.

On the CS issue half the people in here used to play! I used to be fucking deadly at that game and loved playing it. Was probably the best video game i ever played. so addictive.

I hear ya, I played provincial up until a year ago when I started uni, now I just play mens league for Erin Mills, intramurals at school, and literally every other day with friends...I don't play physical (I'm 5'11 160...), nor was I ever a hardworking player, I literally only played one half of the field... But I'm a speedy mofo and have practiced/played street soccer since I was 8, so I can handle a ball, no pun intended.

I played Rep and High School Hockey, Rep Soccer and Rep Lacrosse up until I left for University.

I also played University hockey.

The game got so big that there were yearly LAN tournements where the winning teams of 5 (plus a sub or two) would pull in 100K++$$$.

lol I use to play some SHA hockey (didn't want to really play in the GTHL at the time because the traveling was ridiculous and I doubt my parents would have liked it lol). After a while though I got bored and just went back to houseleague hockey with some buddies and we dominated for like 5 years lol. Won a bunch of scoring titles too, sad thing is it was always just a race between like 3 people lol. One of my best hockey memories though was playing in the grade school hockey tournement for the catholic district in Toronto. We won our regional tournement which allowed us to go play at Maple Leaf Gardens!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe how warm it was on the ice lol, I was use to playing in what felt like meat lockers lol. Too bad I never really got to play in the REALLY important game as I broke my fucking hand lol.

Played some triple AAA baseball back in the day too but blew out my elbow pitching too much. I think I was like 12 or 13 and I had the WORST pitchers/tennis elbow ever. ughh

Oh man this was a while ago. My longest clan membership was cSo (mostly O), some [.ca] (IM), a bit of 2d (M) when I quit playing. I'm sure there were several others mixed in there...

Ever toss 1.6 on for shits these days? Every few months I'll try a pub and be terrible. It's really quite pathetic, considering the thousands of hours I put into that game.

When my bro has his computer at home I sometimes toss on 1.6 and play some Dust2 on terrorist (fav map lol) or I just go into some of the deathmatch maps that people have on the FY maps. You know the ones where they have modded the game so that after you die you randomly respawn somewhere. Pretty fun.

If I am not rolling with the AWP/deagle combo it's usually AK/deagle or Colt/deagle.

Back in the early days of CS (like pre 1.3) I use to play with mods and skins but once I got into the cyber amateur league I had to go back to the original skins because well, those were the rules

So fun making kids bitch and complain about the AWP and talkin shit bout how it takes no skill. Use to make me laugh so much because it is actually one of the weapons that requires a lot of skill you be good with it. Particularly at all ranges, close, medium and long.

oh man, how bout the AWP before they nerfed it too lol. Fire off a round, quick switch to your sidearm and then quick switch back to your AWP and magically there was another bullet in the chamber lol.

You could fire off a 10 round clip so fast lol
