Need a depth NHLer?
Need a depth NHLer?
I'd like to call up Miele, but all of my center slots are full. I'd move Rod Pelley or Brett Sutter for the best pick offered.

He played like 6 minutes last night. Why waste your time?

Because I'd had a stiffy for him for a long time. Phoenix has this rule where they can't have more than one offensively talented person in their lineup at once, so he is just biding his time.

Oh I agree, but I mean why not wait until he's getting ice time to be effective?

At worst, he is still more productive than the people I am trading away.
Damnit, now I won't get a first for them. Clever play, Shep. Clever play.

Yea, I'm with Shep here. If you're trying to win, a rookie centre like Miele on a Phoenix team shouldn't be in your line-up. Once he starts to produce, play him.

Re: Need a depth NHLer?
Possibly -- likely -- true. I'd have to look at the raw #s, but I think Pelley does a little bit more than Miele does right now. At least peripherally.
