Detroit Trading Block (Waiver Exempt NHLers)
If anyone is looking for an extra (inexpensive) NHLer, I have several waiver exempt players on NHL rosters (as of now):
D Oskars Bartulis (0.600) *6th/7th defenseman on PHI*
W Chris Conner (0.550) *likely to be sent down*
D Derek Meech (0.700) *spare defenseman or sent down*
W Chris Mueller (0.550) *3rd/4th line winger or may play some center*
W Mattias Ritola (0.517) *3rd line winger*
W Jiri Tlusty (0.525) *3rd/4th line winger*
C Joe Vitale (0.513) *4th line/PK center*
Also Ryan Johnson (UFA) still on the Wings' roster but hasn't been offered a contract.
I'm not concerned with taking back salary or GP. I'm safely over the floor and I can replace a traded player with another player on the roster. I have some decent depth and would like to cash some of it in.
I'd like to package a player with Washington's 2012 2nd in exchange for an upgraded pick (an early 2nd or late 1st). If can offer up two of these players with the pick but it would have to cost you a 1st and an extra pick.

*BUMP*
Chris Mueller was sent down by Nashville and Chris Conner was placed on waivers to go down to the AHL. Derek Meech may survive the cut in Winnipeg and be the 7th or 8th defenseman.
If you're interested in any players, you know how to reach me. I've received one legitimate offer for Ritola so far and I've been in talks with another team. With Ritola being waiver exempt, I'm in no hurry to make a move...only interested in moving him for the right price. I'm going to be out tonight at Tigers-Yankees so just reach me via PM and I'll get back with you on Tuesday.
I do have Mark Olver also who has apparently survived the cut for the Avalanche but got hurt over the weekend.

Re: Detroit Trading Block (Waiver Exempt NHLers)
For purposes of full disclosure, the best offer for Ritola is a mid-to-early 2012 2nd round pick.
I'd prefer pick(s) for Ritola rather than trading down for prospects or for an AHL level player. As I stated earlier, I'll package Ritola with the Washington 2nd in exchange for an early 2nd or late 1st.
Another option would be to package two of my players for an upgraded NHLer. If anyone is interested in either Adam Pardy or Tom Wandell (both waiver exempt), I'd like a defenseman (in the case of Pardy) or a forward (in the case of Wandell) in return packaged with Ritola. Wandell is projected as a 3rd or 4th liner with Dallas and Pardy is either a 2nd or 3rd pair defenseman for the Stars. You can't find this kind of waiver exempt NHL depth on most teams (who are willing to deal) so fire me a PM!

Bartulis is gone and Ritola is getting some attention and probably will be on the move. I probably don't make another deal beyond that heading into the season...don't want to deplete my depth and waiver exempt depth to boot.

Still waiting on a possible deal for Ritola...get your offers in. Bartulis went for a 2nd...an early 2nd is the bare minimum I'll accept for Ritola (straight-up). I'd still prefer to package Ritola with either of my 2012 2nd (MON or WAS) in exchange for a late 1st in either 2012 or 2013.

Re: Detroit Trading Block (Waiver Exempt NHLers)
You're offering me prospect(s) when I'm asking for good draft picks. I'm at the limit with contract players so part of these moves were to free up some room. These deals couldn't be done during training camp before rosters were finalized because I had no leg to stand on with some of these prospects. Since these guys have made teams, then I can get the value in return that I want.

Man... cut the useless pieces if they are effecting your decisions so much.

Too late to "cut". I'm at 65 players and 50 contracts.

Send useless contracts back the other way. It is not difficult.

I'll have Ritola for picks, no problem guys.

The Ritola bidding is hot and heavy...I'm on MSN and I'd like to get this buttoned up. The bidding is currently up to two 2nd round picks.

Re: Detroit Trading Block (Waiver Exempt NHLers)
I'd be ripped if I settled for the first offer thrown at me (unless it was exactly what I asked for) when there is multiple teams involved. At this point, you allow the teams involved to determine the price. I've got 3 teams actively involved...and all teams are given chances to up their offers if they want. When I'm at the bottom, I have to get max value especially when there is more than one team involved in the bidding.
