Okay guys, there was a little bit of an issue with this ruling so after a bunch of good conversations in the CC we will be putting the following into effect at the start of the season.
LTIR RULE
One may place a skater/goalie with a legitimate long term injury on LTIR, and then proceed to call up and emergency player waiver free.
A player placed on LTIR MUST remain there for a minimum of 3 weeks.
Upon return of LTIR player, the call up player must be placed directly back into minors right away to avoid waivers.
Proper injury report (cbs/yahoo) will be needed to allow player to be put on LTIR.
If you have a player hurt but don't want to put him on LTIR because you don't want him out for a minimum of three weeks you must then use your pressbox players to fill in the roster spot. You may have three players in your pressbox that can be placed in active lineup at any point in the season without be subject to waivers.
If you so chose to use a player from your minors to fill a non-LTIR spot, be aware this player will be subject to waivers both on the way up and on the way down if the player is waiver eligible**
**Waiver eligiblity rule: Any player who is over 21 years of age & has played in more then 150 games needs to clear waivers (up or down). Any goalie who is over 22 years of age, and has played in more then 75 games needs to clear waivers. Any player over 28 must clear waivers. Waiver eligibilities are retroactive to the beginning of the season. Anyone who was waived or in the free agent pool before October 5th may be freely claimed.

Awesome rules....1 question, if a player gets hurt, and is sent down for LTIR, can I replace him with a bench player, and then replace the bench player with my guy from the minors. I don't think this is/has ever been a issue, but I just want to be 100% sure.

yup its the same thing though, when the LTIR player returns the player brought up from the minors MUST go back down and then you can arrange your active lineup however you please!

Re: NEW LTIR RULE
Nice. Way better than what we had last year. That shit was taken advantage of WAY too much.
Emergency call-ups when a player was out for 1 or 2 games, but because of the way the week was, he could play 4 games (the call-up).
I like this one. Good job.
