Great post Facey, I don't know which team I am a fan of. I forgot that you are not allowed to like 2 teams. Let me see if we can explain this one for him. I like Buffalo, well cause I live there and go to a lot of games, so know more about them then any other team. I like Detroit because when I was younger I was a big fan of Mike Vernon and Sergei Fedorov and it has just stuck. Fav team in the league = Detroit. Thanks come back when you have something better.

KapG, the reason I say Toronto fans are nuts because they always think there players are going to bring in something great. Anytime there is a rumor, threads like this begin. It wasn't an insult just stating something I seen and know from being friends with a lot of Toronto fans. But it shows the fans care and get excited when there hasn't been much to get excited about so I can respect that.

Topher, that happens with every fan base though. It's not like Toronto fans are the only ones to overvalue their players . There is just so many Toronto fans around that it seems like we all do it perhaps?


I see Anton made a post while I was typing this. So I would just like to add that I no idea how Burke was able to get Phaneuf, Aulie and Sjostrom for those bums. Still boggles my mind .

There is nothing I hate more than people who talk in absolutes...Some, perhaps even most Toronto fans think they will return something great for mediocre assets, not 'all' Toronto fans. Though I even disagree with the former statement, in my experiences most hockey fans are delusional, Toronto fans get a bad rap for no other reason than the size of their fan base. Most fans are idiots, ergo the largest fan base in hockey has the most idiots. Wings/Sabres fans in general are no better, don't fool yourself into believing otherwise.
