How is 5.5 million too much for Myers, he is the Sabres top Dman and he is young and signed for 6 years great signing and a new look for the Sabres who in the past just let talent go.

Yeah it will be good in the later years, just too much at this point in time.

Yeah I don't agree he was going in the final year of his contract and with the Cap going up that is a good contract for him. You don't wait for him to have an even better season with that defensive core.

5.5 seems fine for myers IMO. Seems cheap for JT moving forward though

^Yeah, I have no idea why JT would sign that. He could have gotten 6+ after this season, or the same salary on a two or three year deal...He must have been promised a lifetime contract at the end of this one, I.E. right before his UFA year.
