BBKL Power Rankings - September 11, 2011
1. TBL (Last Week's Ranking: #3) - Disadvantage of being in the East still exists. But adding Dion Phaneuf changes things.
2. COL (Last Week's Ranking: #1) - The Best in the West by a sizeable martgin.
3. NJD (Last Week's Ranking: #2) - Tuomo Ruutu added to flock of H2Hers. Still not the team that won Back-to-Back Championships though.
4. LAK (Last Week's Ranking: #6) - Should feel slighted by comment regarding COL above ^. Could actually be the better team.
5. BOS (Last Week's Ranking: #5) - Move along folks. Nothing new to see here.
6. CHI (Last Week's Ranking: #13) - You're looking at the new Central Division winner.
7. TOR (Last Week's Ranking: #7) - The team outside the Top 5 most likely to be sitting at #1 after the Trade Deadline.
8. STL (Last Week's Ranking: #4) - Has lost it's way a little bit. There may be a method to GM Ryan Sheppard's madness.
9. OTT (Last Week's Ranking: #10) - Possibly the best offense in the league after TBL and COL.
10. PIT (Last Week's Ranking: #8) - A couple of injuries away from missing the playoffs.
11. WSH (Last Week's Ranking: #29) - Rome is being re-built here.
12. MTL (Last Week's Ranking: #9) - Still the same team. The teams around him just got better.
13. SJS (Last Week's Ranking: #11) - Thornton, Backstrom, Pronger and Chara make an amazing core. Just make a damn trade to improve, Neel.
14. ANA (Last Week's Ranking: #12) - It may set this team back in the short-run, but Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is a Duck.
15. MIN (Last Week's Ranking: #17) - Tumultuous East provides for a bump up in the rankings. Getting DAVID Perron back would be nice.
16. CLB (Last Week's Ranking: #15) - Sidney Crosby's Press Conference this week confirmed Jackets fans' worst fears.
17. NSH (Last Week's Ranking: #19) - Quietest Playoff Team from 2010-2011.
18. BUF (Last Week's Ranking: #16)- Still the most underrated team in BBKL. But he has to finish at least 4th in the NE to make the Playoffs.
19. NYI (Last Week's Ranking: #21) - Second to BUF in the underrated category. Won't be enough to make the playoffs, however.
20. EDM (Last Week's Ranking: #20) - Could sneak into the playoffs in the weak NW.
21. PHI (Last Week's Ranking: #14) - Washington's rise crushes hopes of making the playoffs.
22. NYR (Last Week's Ranking: #19) - See PHI ^.
23. PHX (Last Week's Ranking: #23) - Sneakily collecting 2012 1st Rounders.
24. FLA (Last Week's Ranking: #22) - No longer the 2nd Best Team in the SE.
25. VAN (Last Week's Ranking: #27) - Slowly trading back up for NHLers. Candidate to make the playoffs if enough changes are made.
26. DAL (Last Week's Ranking: #25) - Holds 1st DET again this year.
27. WPG (Last Week's Ranking: #24) - Lottery Team.
28. CGY (Last Week's Ranking: #24) - Team keeps getting worse.
29. CAR (Last Week's Ranking: #28) - Every match-up will be a nightmare.
30. DET (Last Week's Ranking: #30) - The only thing GM Shoalzie needs to worry about it meeting GP and Cap requirements.
2. COL (Last Week's Ranking: #1) - The Best in the West by a sizeable martgin.
3. NJD (Last Week's Ranking: #2) - Tuomo Ruutu added to flock of H2Hers. Still not the team that won Back-to-Back Championships though.

Mike's team is definitely sitting pretty. Also, can we have someone who has actually LOOKED at my team tell me why my team isn't lower than 25th?

I think your team is EASILY capable of making a big jump this season. You are obviously not done retooling. That being said, at this moment you are rated 25th mainly because of Goaltending.hockeysense wroteCOLONMike's team is definitely sitting pretty. Re: BBKL Power Rankings - September 11, 2011
you are fucking nuts.
I know im not making the playoffs unless I have breakout years across the board. But EDM and the Islanders ranked ahead of me? Good laugh.

EDM is only ahead because of Conference. NYI is ahead because he is actually better.KapG wroteCOLONyou are fucking nuts.

w.e.
We obviously have conflicting ideas of what power rankings are. IMO, a team that I would handle (edm), should not be ranked ahead of me, just because they might finish higher in the standings because of their conference being so much easier.

disagree. particularly about edm. I would beat edm unless Rinne can somehow play forward and defense too?shooker wroteCOLONIn all honesty I would put both those teams ahead of yours as well. Not trying to offend, I just dont think shiv is nuts.KapG wroteCOLONyou are fucking nuts.

I agree with the rankings, especially the Rangers position.

I agree with this(minus the child part) that Kareem isn't a top 11 team without a goaltender..KapG wroteCOLONGo find a goaltender Child.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONI agree with the rankings, especially the Rangers position.
Re: BBKL Power Rankings - September 11, 2011
I think my team at present should be in the 8-9 spot. Mike, Shep and Anton have me covered. Billy is pretty damn close to me also. Good read though Shiv, thanks.
