can people please express who they like the trade for instead of speaking in abstracts.

Oh I actually want to know where people stand on this deal. Normally I know if there is a winner or if a trade is even. Curious where the valuation is on the above 3 players. The Devil wroteCOLONWhy does it matter? Re: TOR/VAN
complete rape for mike is how I would sum it up. If this was Chris's first trade in the league I'd ask for a veto. Understand what I think of the deal shiv?

it shouldn't be too hard to tell where everyone stands.SuperMario wroteCOLONOh I actually want to know where people stand on this deal. Normally I know if there is a winner or if a trade is even. I see Shook summed it up nicely hahaha

Shook FTW
Re: TOR/VAN
For me, it isn't so much just what Chris gave up it's what he gave up with the current state of his team. I could see making this trade if you're on the brink of becoming an elite team and challenging for the championship.. but to do it now when he's so far away from being that team just doesn't make sense to me. I think the value given up here could've been better spent elsewhere.
Re: TOR/VAN
Who cares? I obviously overpaid. Some things stood out though.

The above is Korpikoski's ice-time. A steady increase, followed by the Coyotes trading away Stempniak, clearing way for Korpikoski to get even more ice-time this year. I won't slam Mike's return, but I read, watched, and read some more on both players and found some things that made me think that the risk would be less with Korpikoski, especially given his top-six upside. Talking to Scott right now, he thinks Korpikoski is a "third-liner at best." Pretty safe to say I disagree.
But will someone tell me about Kreider's lack of production in BC? Can anyone think of a consistent 50-60-70pts NHL player who didn't dominate the NCAA in his first two years?

Re: TOR/VAN
Disagree. I have more confidence in Coyle, Beach, Miller, than I do in Kreider. Preference, really. As I said to you on MSN, I agree that it doesn't seem like a move a rebuilder should make, but I watched Korpikoski closely this year. I think the upside is pretty damn good with him. 60pts with fantastic h2h periphs, along with an uptick in ice-time.The Devil wroteCOLONFor me, it isn't so much just what Chris gave up it's what he gave up with the current state of his team. In fact, Maloney said that Korpikoski's breakout was one of the reason why they moved Stempniak for a centre.

Welp. Guess I better hope my intuition about Korpikoski is right!
