Favourite/Least Favourite
Re: Favourite/Least Favourite
You're throwing daggers at me all over the place here. I figure I might as well get you where I know it stings a bit. I know you regret trading MSP. That's why I bring him up. It's my way of acting like a child.

This is a fantasy game, the fact that you care so deeply about a computer generated name amuses me, TBH. Anyone who puts their emotional attachments for a player over reasoned and well thought transactions is an idiot.
Re: Favourite/Least Favourite
It's all good. Kovy should provide some decent production for me.

I've never understood why GMs get attached to players.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONThis is a fantasy game, the fact that you care so deeply about a computer generated name amuses me, TBH. Anyone who puts their emotional attachments for a player over reasoned and well thought transactions is an idiot.

God forbid we GMs have some players we really like, on our teams.SuperMario wroteCOLONI've never understood why GMs get attached to players.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONThis is a fantasy game, the fact that you care so deeply about a computer generated name amuses me, TBH. While you have fun, the rest of us will try to build a competitive roster.

Just throwing this out there... but are the fav's not typical good players?
Re: Favourite/Least Favourite
The child Kareem has come out to play because I decided to keep kovy after a couple hours of discussions. The fact that I even suggested Frattin or Beach (as the last part of a package when I originally wanted some blue chippers) was pure luck on his part. He should have said yes right then and there. Not my fault I came to my senses 10 minutes later.

Yeah, I should have jumped on Yakupov/Grigorenko + JJ + Beach... It's no surprise your team is perennially mediocre, in a year Kovy won't even get you Nail Yakupov.
Re: Favourite/Least Favourite
Its all good child. Im fine having a perennial 40 goal scorer on my team who has touched 50 two times in his 8 or 9 year career at a cap hit of 6.667 million dollars. Did I mention he is only 28?
You just keep hoping some of those prospects of yours can maybe do that one day.

Re: Favourite/Least Favourite
I thought so, thanks.
Re: Favourite/Least Favourite
I agree with Shiv.. you should never fall in love with your guys. I've traded Corey Perry 3 times and he's my favourite player in the league. Toews too and look how many times I've moved him. If you're trying to win, a great deal is a great deal, period!
Re: Favourite/Least Favourite
I think the two Kyle's should get together and make a trade involving Kovy just for shits and giggles. A little too much Kyle hating going on in here for my liking.

I think only teams like Tampa, Boston, Colorado etc. can afford to have their favourite players on the teams.KapG wroteCOLONGod forbid we GMs have some players we really like, on our teams.SuperMario wroteCOLON

Whether you like it or not Kyle, you will have to move Kovy in order to compete in this league. It's the only way your team will get better. Just like Bill had to trade 1st Overall this year at the draft. It is a sacrifice that needs to be made. Once you have a solid competitive team, trade for as many of your favourite players as you want. But it'll never FUN to just be a borderline playoff team.
Of course I'm not implying you should've traded Kovy to Kareem lol I'm not interfering in that argument. But you will need to trade him for value sooner or later.
Re: Favourite/Least Favourite
^^ lol you are like the 4th or 5th person to come to me and jokingly say that about Kovy

I like you and all Shiv. But fuck right off if you think my team is in the same situation as Bills. I have plenty of young NHL bodies making up my roster as it is, it's not like I need to acquire more.
Take another look at my team....
Gustafsson, McBain, Sauer, Burmistrov, Bozak, Sobotka, Palmieri, Bernier, Matt Martin, Abdelkader. They all very young with plenty of room to grow potential wise and for the most part they all bring solid priphs, particularly shtoi. Then I have "vets" like Michalek, Brad Stuart, Kipper, Kovalchuk, Vanek, Steen, Halpern. Also have prospects like Klingberg, Scheifele, Sproul, Rhakshani, Marshall, Kundratek, zharkov who should all be solid H2H players in their own rights (minus rhakshani who will be a scorer if anything probably). Why do I need to trade a guy like Kovy again?

I gotta agree with other Kyle. He very well could be a bottom tier playoff team this year. I dont know what you guys are talking about saying his team is a bottom finishing team. Some good drugs must be skipping me. not fair.
