Season 2 I thought wasn't that good when I first watched it, watched the series a few more times though and my mind changed. Season 2 is actually one of the better seasons of the Wire. How the fuck could you not finish season 5? It's not like the Sopranos where it gets almost un-watchable because of how fucking fat Tony gets. I can't stand listening to him breath for an hour at a time.

Sopranos? Maybe the 1st season or two you could compare to The Wire, the rest though? Not on the same level.

Breaking bad? 1st season is good, 2nd is absolute fucking garbage, have yet to see the 3rd (suppose to be great)

Never seen Twinpeaks so I cant comment.

The Wire, although it never got the publicity that Sopranos got, is easily the best HBO series. It clown stomps all over everything. Although honorable mention goes to ASOIAF (A game of thrones for you noobs who haven't read the books and therefor have no idea what ASOIAF is)
