I don't have an iPhone but I am curious to what positives there are to Jailbreaking an iphone or Touch in Canada? Mike, can you give me a run down of some of the positives or whoever else can answer? Also, Knowing some of you have BB's id like to get your pins. Only one i have now is Scott. pm me some pins.

In Canada? Same benefits everywhere. Apple's App Store has policies against certain types of software (say, torrent downloading ... phone tethering... using Skype over 3G, etc) so having a jailbroken phone gives you an alternative avenue. You can also download pirated/cracked apps if you are poor/a thief like I am.

I'm off BB now, rockin a Samsung Captivate (Android).

Yeah I had to tether while watching telus fuck a sheep instead of actually give me a servicable product.

I don't usually have a problem with Telus. Their service is pretty good. Their customer service on the other hand...

I spoke with 29 different people and had 5 service techs come out.

This was to have one month of 1 MBPS internet. They tried to upgrade me and it was like watching the 3 Stooges.

Rogers/Bell/Telus let you tether. Many non-Canadian cell providers charge extra to do it the legit way.
