That's before Burke got in town to remind the boys what it is to be a team. Bunch of guys earning a paycheck is a very different thing.

People say things like, " Just a late hit"... only thing worse then a late hit is a hit from behind, you cannot defend yourself in either case (unless you're more worried about dodging random hits then playing hockey).

Saw the leaf and devil cheap shot and it reminded me of this.

Its funny how one hit can totally change a player eh. Scott Neidermayer was never the same after this hit either....he developed a mean streak and was better.

If anyone still wonders why I hate that CBC Pairing and am extatic that Houghson has taken over, listen to those boys lol. How they ever made TV I have no idea.

By the way, I love Domi but this is one of the worst hits of all time. Their have been some horrific ones (Bert/Mcsorley etc) but those were all snap decisions done in the heat of a battle and this was a direct head hunt for no reason at all. Not excusing what those boys did as they crossed the line and there is no defending their plays but imo Domi's was looking to get him and had a clear head about what was going on. Which I feel is worse or at least just as bad. I always wonder why this one is never brought up in the dirty play talks

Shook that pair is SOOOOOOOOO much better than Hughson. Hughson is one of the worst play by play man in pro sports, give me Harry Neale over him every day of the week.

really I hated those guys soo much. It got to the point that I would mute games or just not watch at all. I felt as I watched games they were having a John Madden contest to say who could say the more obvious thing...and there was never a clear winner. i like Jim cause he isnt bias, well he is towards the nucks, but he doesn't get their games unless its playoffs anymore. Cole and Neale could not see any wrong with the blue and white and it drove me nuts, probably why you liked them though.

Bob Cole + Harry Neale are the equivalent of Martin Tyler and Andy Gray in soccer. One of the best broadcasting duos in hockey ever. Hughson is good too. But if you ever listen to Hughson speak on radio etc out of the game, he idolizes Bob Cole almost like a mentor.

Try and notice this when you watch a game voiced by Bob Cole. You could not look at the TV and know exactly how critical of a situation you are watching by the tone of his voice. Hughson tries to do it too i.e. "STOPPED BY LUONGO" is like his favourite phrase. But Bob Cole is unbelievable at it.
