Some encouraging activity so far...I envision being able to improve my situation through a couple of possible deals. Keep the offers coming!
Just to clarify the situation with my 2013 1st Round pick...I'm not actively shopping it but I'm willing to listen to offers if it benefits my present situation. I'd prefer to not trade it right now unless a great offer is presented to me. I'd prefer to remedy my salary and GP issues by trading all other assets.
Yes, I will listen to offers but I'm least likely to trade that over trading any other pick and player. IF I was to trade that pick now, I'd want established player(s) that can help me over the long term. I'm not looking for short term fixes. I'm looking at the pick as a likely top 5 pick so that's the kind of value I'm looking for in return.

Done for the day following the two trades...cut my salary cap floor deficit in half and I've still got a couple UFAs on the roster yet to sign.
Re: Detroit Trading Block (Needs: Salary & GP)
nicely done. Did it without shipping that 1st too.

Kelly and Ward could be on the move today.
I'm only looking for deals where I add cap money. Ward has a multiple year deal so I'd want a contract with multiple years. Kelly is only 30 and is on the last year of 4 year deal...he's got earning potential beyond this year. I'm trying to not sell down on players...just trying to get similar value but add salary in the process. I'm looking for overpaid NHLers and attractive building pieces and/or tradeable assets to acquire other NHLers.
