to be precise, i never asked for Myers straight up, nor was he the only option i gave.

I simply said Holtby won't move for something that i don't consider really significant for my team:
if he is valued as an AHLer or a career backup and a meh asset is offered as a result, then it's better for me to take the chance on him becoming the starter, especially when i think he has more potential in him than Neuvy (albeit less of a sure thing).

obviously, if Varlamov indeed leaves Holtby's price is higher than before.
It still doesn't mean Holtby for Myers straight up...
if a package of Holtby and something works to get back something i like, good, otherwise i guess i'll keep him further..

he meant what he said, it was the Russian pair. Holtby was only their because of injuries. He did play pretty well though.
