BBKL's Biggest "Low-Baller"?
Re: BBKL's Biggest "Low-Baller"?
Again, I'm shocked I don't have a vote lol and even more so, Frank has a goose-egg too.
Re: BBKL's Biggest "Low-Baller"?
With yourself and Steve the low-balls aren't real.... Franks are just jokes.
Re: BBKL's Biggest "Low-Baller"?
Mik, I still think you're a good guy even if you are a low-baller

Re: BBKL's Biggest "Low-Baller"?
This poll simply proves I have a terrible rep in this league. If I lowballed so much I would not be the GM who makes the most trades in this league lol. And each of my trades I give up solid value. I challenge people to find trades where I did not give up solid value.

Low ball offers don't get accepted Shiv.

Re: BBKL's Biggest "Low-Baller"?
I'm not denying that I make bad offers sometimes but majority of my trade talks start with "this is what I want from your team. take a look at my team and tell me what will make it work."
there is a huge observer bias here lol. and thats fine. but people should not be in here pretending like they dont make bad offers themselves.

Re: BBKL's Biggest "Low-Baller"?
Btw I can give a clear example of this and I am sure Chris will take exception to this. The other day I messaged him saying "Interested in Patrick Sharp." He said yes. I said "What will you add to Ribeiro?" Immediate response: "LOL no thanks."
Two days later "Hey Chris, Interested in Brad Richards?" "Depends on what, Shiv." "What will you add to Ribeiro?" Immediate response: "LOL no thanks."
Now you can say what you will about the offers. Chris didn't want to do the deal - fine. but there is a clear bias. Those are not bad offers by any means. And Chris is not the only GM.
And btw this bias does not extend to just me. It extends to Scott, Kareem and Nick as well. People in this league automatically assume that when one of us wants to do a particular deal, we have an edge because we have an ulterior motive.

I'm going to start low-balling the shit out of people
Re: BBKL's Biggest "Low-Baller"?
u better generate more random trades to everyone so you can pull some votes away from shiv..The Devil wroteCOLONI'm going to start low-balling the shit out of people
but honestly he's done better of late lol.. at least i look at his offers before closing his msn chat window.. i used to just close them when i see an offer without looking at it =P

you didn't seem to think like that when you got Colby Armstrong for the 3rd Waiver pick. Then again I stopped trying to talk trade with Mik a long time ago because it wasn't worth my while lol.
LOL you mean that trade where you offered him to me then said no once i agreed? Where i then had to bitch for a half hour to get the trade done lol. Yea that was dream negotiations if I've ever had them. Also that was before last waiver draft....i think we made one more small deal before the start of the season and nothing since so my comment is still very valid.
Re: BBKL's Biggest "Low-Baller"?
agreed on all points, shiv is not a lowballer, he sets the bar low when inquiring about a player (normally you would, as nobody really wants to pay full price as opposed to trying to catch the other gm offguard and get somethin at a discount), but its not a lowball offer... he can be made to see another persons pov and typicaly his reasoning is soundThe Devil wroteCOLONShiv's not a low-baller guys.. he's aggressive. Shiv is wiling to overpay if he wants a player. And I always receive respectable offers from him and when you guys all ask me about his offers, they're reasonable too.
Shiv's annoying.. not a low-baller.

I definitely agree. I am annoying haha. I'm okay with that . You're bound to get on people's nerves when you hound them for trades daily haha.

Re: BBKL's Biggest "Low-Baller"?
i like how you fail to report/remember my starting offer was not exactly Colby for 3rd W overall straight up.. i merely asked if you were interested for Armstrong.. you said you were, so i tried to make it 3rd+ for Armstrong. It wasn't possible and then i accepted to do it straight up.shooker wroteCOLONLOL you mean that trade where you offered him to me then said no once i agreed? Sorry it took more than 10minutes. Really...
it was Mike Santorelli for Smithson. Also that was before last waiver draft....i think we made one more small deal before the start of the season and nothing since so my comment is still very valid.
Both deals we made resulted from my offers, not yours.. so it looks over this long period at least twice i made 2 good enough offers, unlike you
Re: BBKL's Biggest "Low-Baller"?
all three players mentioned are north american guys that you have never seen play, this doesnt change anything

Re: BBKL's Biggest "Low-Baller"?
didnt read thread so this might have already been said, but
i dont think ive ever been low balled by mik. my issue with him is his absurd valuation of his own guys.
most trade talks go something like this:
me: hey, what would you want for this player A
mik: hmmm...player b and player c and a pick
