2nd overall waiver pick & mid-round entry draft picks

Post by Shoalzie »

I've got a few players that I'm looking to take at that #2 spot but I'm also open to the idea of trading down for multiple picks to allow me to collect multiple prospects. I'm not interested in adding a throw-away NHLer. The only alternative to taking picks in return would be a young NHLer.

I also have Pittsburgh's 1st and my 2nd and 3rd round picks in the waiver draft that I can include. There are a few teams out there with multiple 1st rounders (you know who you are)...I'd be interested in hearing from you.

With the entry draft, I've got 6 picks in the 4th round (Detroit, Atlanta, Nashville, Washington, Los Angeles and New Jersey) and an early 5th (Carolina)...I'd be interested in packaging some of those picks and try to get a pick or picks in the 3rd round.

There's no rush on my part to make a move...one of my realistic goals for this summer is to improve my prospect depth. Throw me some offers if you're interested...

Mission accomplished...I moved down in the 1st round down to a spot I feel I can still get a decent player and I move up to the early part of the 3rd round...essentially a late 2nd round pick. I just didn't have a player at the #2 spot that I just had to have. I've got a list of 20 or so players that I'm interested in so I should be able to get at least one or two of them by the 15th and 24th picks.

With my 3rd round pick back in my possession, I'm interested in moving up or I'll take multiple 3rd rounders in return...perferrably in the top third/half of the round.

As far as the waiver draft is concerned, if anyone is interested in trading down from the top 10, I've got the Dallas (15th) and Pittsburgh (24th) first round picks and my second round pick (32nd). I'm not interested in moving up only a couple spots...either back into the top 10 or I'll stand pat.
