Anyone good with yard stuff?

So the last person who lived here had a huge dog who pissed and shat all over the back yard... essentially ruining it... we've raked up mose of the crap but there are still huge patches of burnt grass from the piss... What's the best way to fix this? just rip up the ground and replant seed? Also, any suggestions of the best kinds of productsto kill dandelions and other weeds that's safe for dogs?

water the shit out of it, and put a rich fertilizer over it

Get a Male dog to piss on the burnt spots .. to counter act the female piss. In turn, it should turn the grass back to green.
