Some Important Dates

Just for everyone's information the CC has decided on a few dates for league events.

1) Free Drop Period - from May 15th, 2011 - August 1st 2011 @ 11:59 am EST

2) BBKL Annual Waiver Draft - starts August 1st 2011 @ 12:00pm EST

3) BBKL Entry Draft - will begin on June 18th 2011 @ 12:00am EST

Thanks for setting times but.. why so long for drop and then the waiver draft?

There were a couple of issues taken into account, and although keeping interest peeked currently would be nice, there is more information and more guys to pick from later in the summer. This gives us a nice long drop period, lots of time for retirements, random ufa signings and early word on camp invites. Also considered was the deadest of dead times, right before training camps. So this date gives some more names, sparks some interest but still requires some work/ideas/scouting by gm's.

1) Players over 20 can't be selected in the entry draft?

2) If I drop someone on May 1st, can I decide to pick him up again before the waiver draft?

and

3) Can we get the exact birthdate range for North American prospects and Euro prospects for the entry/waiver drafts? I know Euro's can be drafted older than North American.

4) According to the CBA, I took over a bottom 3 team, which means I receive 2 extra picks. One should be 4th overall and the other should be 31st overall. Correct? Trying to plan accordingly..

I took over in August, according to the CBA:

7. NEW GM RULE

7-1 : If entered into the league between April and December, new GM must wait 14 days from your entry to make a trade. This rule is to allow time to familiarize the new GM with the league and the player’s value according to the league
7-2 : If entered between January and March, new GM must wait 8 days from your entry to make a trade. Due to the deadline we allow only a 8 day wait period although 14 is strongly recommended.
7-3 : New GM must read the CBA and keep their teams sub-forums neat and up to date.
7-4 : During the first three months of a new GMs tenure in the BBKL you will be on probation. At this time any two violations will warrant discussion among Admin and CC for removal.
7-5 : Any new GM who takes over a team in the bottom twelve of the league will receive corresponding picks in the waiver draft.
8th – 12th – Additional pick in the first round (31st)
4th – 7th – Additional pick in the first round (5 spots after your original pick)
3rd – 1st – Two additional picks in the first round (2 spots after your original pick + 31st)

Not just asking for myself, we've had a few new GMs come on board since I came along and they should be rightly compensated as well.

Right...slight crossing of 'windows' there. Could hold that window over until waiver draft or post waiver draft... no real opinion here, but does need to be clearly stated.
