The Lady Byng Memorial Trophy, formerly known as the Lady Byng Trophy, is presented each year to the National Hockey League "player adjudged to have exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability". The Lady Byng Memorial Trophy has been awarded 85 times to 51 different players since it was first awarded in 1925.

how does the NHL have lidstrom in the top 3 lady bing consideration yet we don't give him a nomination? it makes no sense especially when you consider the stats. Purcell and Grabner are jokes in that group.

To be honest the "awards committee" didn't even discuss this award. I went with forwards who had over 50 points and D with 35 points and 15 or less PIMs. I don't know how I missed MSL.
