So they just killed the biggest terrorist threat of our generation but they shouldn't have because everything was rainbows sunshIne and lollipops while he was still alive.

But then again everyone screaming about derp derp jihad Muslims is also a fucking idiot. I believe that the Muslim religion is exactly what 99 percent of the non jihadist extremist population calls is " peace love and happiness". The minority ruins it for the majority. I'm the least religious person in these forums, but I know christianIty is not limited to the westborough baptist church and deep south derpists .

Scott u called him garbage and then said "exactly" when Shep insinuated that this is a bad thing -> revenge will be hard/etc.

Kareem: I don't claim to know anything about the Muslim faith/jihad, my point was directly and solely aimed at the fact that either side becomes polarized and looks bad thanks to extremists. Dunno why that was worth pointing out that I know little when it wasn't the point.

Really canny follow this?

"let's see who is cheering when..."

Which seems to suggest you didn't believe this was positive news. Basically I dunno what you meant when you said that.

Perhaps not a fair response to leap on, students bitch about grades for the last 2 weeks, and the. 61% vote turn out but everyone complains... Toss on people taking a some what negative or doubtful approach to the death of Osama and the # of complainers who simply want to bitch got to me. Nap time I guess.

I called him garbage, yes. but Shep said we'll see who is laughing/cheering when the Al-Q retaliates.. I said exactly because I believe this cheering that Osama's dead is a little earlier then we should be cheering. Especially considering the 1000's of US soldiers who've died during this war so far and the 10's of thousands who died in 9/11. What's the score? 100,000 to 1? I'll cheer when the Al-Q ceases to exist but I do not begrudge someone for feeling pride that Osama has been killed.

I still have no idea what you're talking about.

I'm not bitching at all. I think you just took my comment much more serious and literal than intended.

Was supposed to just be a tongue-in-cheek comment.

That's well put, FTR I'm not upset Osama is dead, though I believe he was dead long before Sunday night, this is a man who was on dialysis for years, and was said to be a different man in the videos posted on American TV networks by his own son. Anyways...My only gripe is the barbaric brush the Islamic nation appears to be painted with by the Western Media.

there's a whole lot of talking and not a whole lot of walking going on in this thread. kinda like my fantasy hockey team in bbkl haha.

but seriously boys, reading and talking about the news is pointless unless it is followed by action. it's a lock that 99.9% or 100% of people on this forum and on the planet will just move on with their daily lives without doing anything about what they think should be changed. as nick said before (albeit it was random lol) if you care about something a lot, do something.

The fact that Americans are cheering about Osama's death is comical. You would think the announcement of Osama's death would create an opportunity for people to reflect and grieve about the shit load amount of blood and money that their country has sacrificed over the last 10 years. Cheering over 1 man's death? The same man that bankrupted the US with 2 wars/occupations. Trillions gone down the drain. The country is broke! hip hip hooray!

What does this even mean? Reading and staying in tune with what's going on around the world is pointless unless we do something about it?

no i think the saddest part is that he was someone hunted by the same government that created that type of individual... osama was supplied with weapons and knowledge and whatever else largely funded by the US was he not? so whos really to blame for 9/11

^ Yeah, Osama was a trained CIA operative for Afghanistan during the proxy wars against the Soviet Union in the Cold War.
