blackberry, iphone, android - which one should i get?
my contract with rogers is due up soon, and i need to get a new phone.... im looking to mostly use the phone for web browsing, opening multiple pages so fairly fast and powerful need somethin that can handle that, and somethin that i can log into msn with as well, video imaging and camera doesnt have to be top of the line either, not a major criteria. secondly, im not really into social networking so that doesnt even have to exist as far as im concerned... i dont feel like doin all the research myself so maybe you guys can give me some shortcuts lol, i want to see some first hand experiences that you guys have had with your phones and what you guys think would be the best phone for me to get and whats the most compatible network for what i intend to use the phone for, thx in advance guys

If you want an iPhone, wait until the summer for the iPhone 5. The iPhone 4 has had a shit load of problems.
I love the iPhone because I love having my iPod on me at all times and not having to worry about carrying a second device.
If you really want BBM go BlackBerry. Many things are compatible on both.

I've been with the iphone for a few years now. One thing I have found is I am somewhat tied to it now after investing in apps and stuff mentally its a lot harder to jump ship to an android of BB and basically throw away all you invest in the programs.

Re: blackberry, iphone, android - which one should i get?
iPhone lovers will always say iPhone, BB lovers will say BB or iPhone is okay, Android lovers, well there aren't any.
What I would recommend actually is the new Windows 7 phone. HTC HD7 is for Bell, but I'm wondering if Rogers has the similar phone.
EDIT: I just read your needs...
You will probably enjoy the iPhone the best for browsing, I can't argue that. But I'm anti-iPhone and want to try the Windows 7 phone pretty bad but I'm not with Bell so I can't give you a testimonial.

I've had both BB (Pearl) iPhone (current, 3G) and loved em both.

but then i have to pay upfront most likely upwards of $300-400 minimum to get a phone, i dont have that much cash at the moment, so really i will most likely sign a contract just to get the phone at under a hundred maybe free if i can find a decent phoneMike wroteCOLONI've had both BB (Pearl) iPhone (current, 3G) and loved em both.

If you don't have that kind of money in the bank at one time, can you really afford a cell phone?MadarameIkakku83 wroteCOLONbut then i have to pay upfront most likely upwards of $300-400 minimum to get a phone, i dont have that much cash at the moment, so really i will most likely sign a contract just to get the phone at under a hundred maybe free if i can find a decent phoneMike wroteCOLONI've had both BB (Pearl) iPhone (current, 3G) and loved em both.

Not worth it man. Pay up front unless you want to be locked into a terrible contract. With this UBB stuff happening I think the lid will soon blow of the cellular price gouging Rogers/Bell/etc practice. You sign up now for 3 years? You're shot out of luck. Pay up front, if you can't pay, go on kijiji and get a used phone.MadarameIkakku83 wroteCOLONbut then i have to pay upfront most likely upwards of $300-400 minimum to get a phone, i dont have that much cash at the moment, so really i will most likely sign a contract just to get the phone at under a hundred maybe free if i can find a decent phoneMike wroteCOLONI've had both BB (Pearl) iPhone (current, 3G) and loved em both.

Buying a used phone is the way to go, IMO.

never thought of that, sounds pretty wacky thoughMike wroteCOLONNot worth it man. Pay up front unless you want to be locked into a terrible contract. I have the HTC HD7 and it is epic. Simple to use, great for web browsing comes with a 16G hard drive so you can load all your music on it as well. If you are pro mac go with the Iphone but if you are a windows guy go for the HTC windows phone its actually really sick.Dolomite wroteCOLONiPhone lovers will always say iPhone, BB lovers will say BB or iPhone is okay, Android lovers, well there aren't any.
