That was so disturbing. I hope the kid is ok. Real stupid play by Chara, imo. Anywhere else on the ice that hit is nothing, but Chara with that extra push up high to the head was a very dangerous play that really showed no respect... Bruins getting there asses handed to them, this was unnecessary...I already threw up once from the score and this made me more sick.

Pacs wasn't moving much on the ice but is apparently now speaking and able to move his extremities so thats good news. Saw it and couldn't believe it, reckless play. Hope hes okay.

I've been watching the replay quite a few times, Chara has to see the stantion coming up, he has to know that its there. The extra push with his arms doesn't give pacs any chance on the hit. Looks real bad. Chara has been saying multiple times it was really unfortunate, really unfortunate in interviews.

Terrible outcome to what is a hit that happens 5+ times a game, I don't like that Chara's arm is high, but aside from that and the turnbuckle there's not much to blame... entire play from tuching the puck to finishing the hit is within 2 seconds, the hit starts a little less then 1 second after max pac taps it forward.

Not sure if I like the idea of saying Chara meant to push him into it, also means you need to assume Max Pac knew it was or was not there.What's to say he wasn't trying to put him into the bench (allowed and a hit Chara does more then most).


UGLY outcome, hate to see it, hope he is okay (he's a fellow SSM boi too). His own speed did the most damage... perhaps they need to consider a rule regarding the turnbuckle, much like a boarding call the player in vulnerable there.

Yea, i didn't like that extra push up high. He had to know that the player he was hitting was in a vulnerable position. It can be debated that some think Chara is a dirty player but i don't think he is. This play though, is a black mark on this guys career, imo.

reverse angle at 1:50 shows intent. no doubt.

the puck is down at the opposite blue line. chara has already made contact and impeded his progress, then as they get towards the glass divider, he gives him the extra shove.

i want to rip my ears off listening to the bruins colour guy try and justify this...i mean, seriously.

Thats what I saw too Anton, it looks like intent without that last second push that isn't a problem. Added the fact the puck wasn't there doesn't help his case. I don't see Chara as a dirty player at all, but thats a dirty hit. No way he gets 10 games though, likely no suspension to 2 games. Regardless of the outcome Montreal press will go crazy, colin doing son's team a favour, everyone hates montreal and the french conspiracy yada yada.

Chara did not mean to knock Pac out cold and put him in the hospital, but he DID mean to put him into the divider, im convinced. He had the free arm out impeding his progress, saw the divider, and gave him the extra shove. I don't think Chara envisioned it being as devastating as it was, but fact is, he did it.

if Chara gets 2 games as the TSN guys are predicting, this will only further embarrass the league in the wider sports media. This needs to be 7+
