Trade call has yet to go through as the article states but it seems pretty final.

Fack.... I will miss the prospect of Colborne and while i think this years draft will be nothing big after say 15, i think the first is a bit much. All in all, if this is the true payment, had to be done and both teams get what they wanted. Woot Woot...I like it. Good trade. Might see Colborne this year in TO. Bruins next target: Top line winger. If that happens, I have every confidence in the world in this team making a very deep playoff run.

considering everyone and their grandmother knew kaberle wanted to only go to boston, burke maximized the return quite well.

kadri, colborne, gardiner, reimer, blacker, aulie

dare i say the leafs' future looks bright(er)?

Bruins making Trade call apparently.

I'm still confused didn't boston need to clear salary after the Kelly deal?

I expect Stuart to be moved right after. Will Kaberle play tonight? I also read that the Bruins get Tor 2nd in return with Kaberle? Who knows. Well I see no reason that Kaberle would not sign with the B's afterwards. Colborne's route to the NHL would have been crowded on the B's. He will be awesome for a nice looking shaping up team in TOR. A trade good for both i think. Bruins still got the high first, got the puck moving D-man that will greatly improve the PP and the Leafs get potentially 2 good picks and a wicked young Center. We all can hug this one out. Win win for both teams...really...

very likely. burke has favourites and loves to target them. im sure if he decides he likes a kid in the 12-15 range, he will make every effort to move up there.

He has, but wouldn't those 2 firsts have been much better in the deeper draft last season? Whatever, its all good and like i have said before, Burke is doing very nicely. Fire Wilson.

I haven't read that this draft isn't deep its just not as top heavy as drafts in the past. We aren't getting a top 10 pick so it doesn't matter as much as most people think it does IMO.

Also Wheeler is the one going apparently in another non-leaf related deal, not Staurt.

Thanks Kabs, was a great leaf and will surely be missed.

Exactly. I read the top 10 isn't as strong as previous, and afterwards is similar. 10-15 could be just as good as 25-30. Lots of parity, just a weak top 5-10 in comparison to previous.

which benefits the leafs really having 2 late picks. if you're gonna have 2 picks in the 20-30 range, might as well be in a draft with this much parity after the top 10.

So.. like every other friday

But yeah Dregger said Wheeler deal in the works so Leaf deal can go through.

Great return by Burke, going to miss kabs for sure though. 2nd best Defenceman to ever play for the leafs points wise.

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My fantasy team, who happens to be the Boston Bruins, who i worked very hard to get player from other teams, are all now again, Boston Bruins...

Well. Lets just say i will have a new block up this weekend. Somebody's being moved. I cant have 3 Boston centers...and at least one of them wont be taking faceoffs anymore. oh man...I cant handle all this information...
