Every Panther fan knows that for this team to compete for a BBKL championship that changes need to be made going into next season. It feels like this team is in quick sand. The team is stuck, were too good to get a decent pick, and likely not good enough to make the playoffs. After management/players and loyal fans witnessed 100,000 rats flood the ice and the loud aggressive chats of "Yoooou suck" all game on our season closer we want to let our fans know that we heard you, the team has listened.
Florida has been busy...very busy. In what has now been dubbed by some as Rat gate. Florida have looked at every employee, lifted every rug, and has come up with a plan we hope all fans can sign off on. We no longer want to just make the playoffs one yr, and just miss the next. It is a very unhealthy place for any team. Florida simply does not have the goaltending or the top end talent to compete for a cup. Florida also does not have the picks or youth to put together packages to put a team together that could compete for more than maybe a season.
So Florida Chris is sending out the letter to all fans asking/begging all fans to hold on tight. We are hoping that the true Florida fans could be patient. We also understand that Florida fans have no appetite to sit threw a long grueling rebuild. A rebuild/retool is coming, but we promise there will be no scorched earth, no tank for Bedard shenanigans here. We promise to turn this team around as quickly as possibly, to turn over every rock, and to do everything possible within the BBKL rule book to improve this team. And finally we will remove the complacent attitude of anybody from top to bottom and begin the process of rebuilding this team into a extremely completive team. A team who will compete year after year. Florida should be among the most coveted places for players to come play. Any player who does not believe this won't be here. We are going to be active in the trade market, and will be making moves that fit our new plan.
