Re: WJC TALK
Short tournaments are tough for goaltenders, they only have a limited amount of time to get hot. Jake Allen was terrible last season, and is setting the AHL on fire this season...Not sure you can really blame the selection committee for the goaltenders failures, they took the two best guys, but to this point neither has gotten hot.
Re: WJC TALK
Martin Jones is standing on his head in the AHL as well.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONShort tournaments are tough for goaltenders, they only have a limited amount of time to get hot. Re: WJC TALK
I don't care if Jake Allen wins a Stanley Cup this year and Roy wins a Veznia next year. This is two years in a row we've had shit goaltending at the World Jrs.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONShort tournaments are tough for goaltenders, they only have a limited amount of time to get hot. Meh, not like any of the other contenders have had solid goaltending.Ryan wroteCOLONI don't care if Jake Allen wins a Stanley Cup this year and Roy wins a Veznia next year. Would you honestly label the Fin's contenders though?facey wroteCOLONThe FIN goalies have been fantastic.
Re: WJC TALK
I think not counting the FIN's as a medal threat would be silly, they lack defensive depth and size, but have insane grit and work ethic on top of top end speed and surprising skill.

Re: WJC TALK
They very well could be a threat for a bronze, but without Granlund, they have no hope of contending for a gold.facey wroteCOLONI think not counting the FIN's as a medal threat would be silly, they lack defensive depth and size, but have insane grit and work ethic on top of top end speed and surprising skill.

Re: WJC TALK
LOL, I can tell you have watched alot of Windsor and Team USA games this year...Jack Campbell has been horrible this year, and is incredibly raw with his positioning, but his size and athleticism are off the charts for a young netminder.SuperMario wroteCOLONJack Campbell is money when it matters.
Re: WJC TALK
not mention his confidence was completely shot at the start of the year, hes getting back to sort of being on track they are watching him very closely but i think his being tested this much and struggling right now will make him a better a goaltender in the futureMSP4LYFE wroteCOLONLOL, I can tell you have watched alot of Windsor and Team USA games this year...Jack Campbell has been horrible this year, and is incredibly raw with his positioning, but his size and athleticism are off the charts for a young netminder.SuperMario wroteCOLONJack Campbell is money when it matters.

Re: WJC TALK
I love his future, don't get me wrong, but he hasn't been great this season, and certainly not "money when it matters" as Shiv suggested.MadarameIkakku83 wroteCOLONnot mention his confidence was completely shot at the start of the year, hes getting back to sort of being on track they are watching him very closely but i think his being tested this much and struggling right now will make him a better a goaltender in the future

Re: WJC TALK
Jack Campbell has alot of tools to work with, but this tournament showed just how far away he is yet...But that's ok, no goaltender is a finished product at 18.
