Re: GDT Week 3
I'm with most of you guys, I loved the most recent threads with activity at the top of the forum when you first logged in. That was a very convenient feature but I still find myself needing to check all the major forums.
Recent posts can get buried on a busy day. I need to make sure I don't miss any waiver activity or free agent claims or drops. I scour that Transactions forum and check each sub-forum to make sure I see everything.
When I go through and check for new trades, I keep a spreadsheet that I list out what forum every thread is under. I know which threads are trades or blocks or whatever. Maybe I take that for granted because I need to make sure I see everything. I check every thread by default.

Is there no one that can be contacted to ask about reimplementing the recent threads at the top of the forum? I'm not sure if it falls on us to update things, but our very professional looking forums took a hit after this update when you see things like:

I mean, proof is in the pudding tbh. This place was pretty active up until the newest update. I mean, it is what it is at this point, but this place was definitely busier. It’s not like we have the excuse that we are in the off-season. Oh well.

A nice reminder that in a league of 32 males 1/14 of us will be. Diagnosed with colon cancer in our lifetimes.Bruyns wroteCOLON ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 8:43 am Is there no one that can be contacted to ask about reimplementing the recent threads at the top of the forum? Re: GDT Week 3
Yeah, I have to laugh seeing colon spelled out. It's very strange. Sadly though, I did lose my fraternal grandfather to colon cancer a long time ago so that actually hits home with me. I'm getting to that age where I seriously need to pay attention to that stuff.
With us, I don't want to do a nuclear option of moving to a new forum or migrating the database to somewhere else. I'm still not positive who actually owns and maintains the account and the BBKL.ca domain is being paid for by someone as well. It's either Mike Morris or maybe even "mashley" (Matt Ashley?).
All I've got in my name is the payment of the Fantrax site. We changed forums a long time ago prior to 2009. We also have the early years of this league still on CBS Sports. I get contacted about reactivating it every season but the league supposedly still exists on their site. I'd love to have it available for record keeping but right now, I'm more concerned with the here and now.

Re: GDT Week 3
I knew heading into this season how many teams were going to comfortably occupy the bottom of the league but I didn't think I'd be closer to a playoff spot than last place. I don't think there's a true mushy middle class in this league...it's baslcally the teams that either miss the playoffs or the bad teams that are better than the awful teams.
