GDT - Week 1
Sharks-Predators start at 2 p.m. today. Make sure you have your Fantrax lineup is ready.
Playoff baseball gets started today too...my phone will get a workout this afternoon. Lots of good stuff to stream while I'm at work.

Figured as much...Sharks and Predators are carrying extra players and each have a third goalie with them overseas. It makes more sense that the roster cutdown is Monday afternoon after those two games have been played and the preseason finally wraps up Saturday. Only two games on (North American) opening night next Tuesday.

Re: GDT - Week 1
The Sharks might not be a good team this year but I really like the reboot of the uniforms. The all-teal/turquoise gear is really cool.
I think still like the original uniforms better but I've like the revised logo(s). The original teal was great although I still have bad memories of Jamie Baker scoring to beat the Red Wings in '94.

Re: GDT - Week 1
I have similar thoughts. I miss the silver stripe personally
Re: GDT - Week 1
Schedule this year will be 21 weeks, first week is 2 matches and the other 20 are 4 for a total of 82. Due to the way the NHL is scheduled this year the final will only be 10 days.
Re: GDT - Week 1
is the schedule in on Fantrax?
Re: GDT - Week 1
Week 1 and 17. Would love if someone felt like entering the rest.
Re: GDT - Week 1

That line with him, Soderblom and Sundqvist will be interesting. Sundqvist is the "smallest" guy at 6' 3". Those three are just going to eat up ice when they're out there. Lalonde had those three on the during the final couple minutes of the game. If Chiarot and Seider is the top pair and you want to use them in a defensive role...teams are going to have a tough time finding open ice if the Wings want a hold a lead late.
It's one thing I can always remember about the Lightning during the Yzerman days when the Wings could never beat them. They'd have a huge defense that would take ice and passing lanes away from you. When Edvinsson is NHL-ready, he's a big body. I can see what is being done in terms of building that team.

Re: GDT - Week 1
It's early. We had a mad scramble to get ready for the season and then we had the lull between the Prague games and the other opening night on Tuesday.
The forum is different but not so different that it ruins the league. It's not my favorite but I'm use to it now.

How are your matchups going so far? I’m in a couple really close ones with Philadelphia and Washington. Thom just dropped a shutout on me yesterday which is a bit if a kick to the nuts.
Hoping to maybe sneak into the playoffs this year but not looking to blow up my prospect pipeline or draft pick capital to do so.

Re: GDT - Week 1
you can take my place Kyle… don’t think my team will be consistently competitive with all my injuries. Probs time to retool.
And tbh I don’t mind the update after using it for a week.
