Volunteers Wanted: Competition Committee

We've got a little more than a month before the new season starts. There are long-serving members of the group that would be interested in moving on. I'd like to open up the application process to any active GM in the league that is interested in being part of the group starting with the 2022-23 season.

I want to emphasize that this is a voluntary position and with that, you're expected to fulfill what is needed as part of the competition committee. You're a representative for the rest of the league and you're expected to engage in discussions about league rules (and rulings) and with that, you're expected to vote when called upon.

Please apply in this thread. If we receive more volunteers than we have openings in the group, you'll go on a waiting list and you'll get priority to replace a member when the next opening is made available.

New members of the CC would assume duties at the beginning of the league year.

The big thing is to be present when there's something to vote on or when there's a topic of discussion. Also, please have an actual opinion...it doesn't do the committee much good if you just say "I don't care" or "I can go either way".

If you're going to volunteer, be willing to put in the time. But as Dave says, it's not a round-the-clock deal. You'll be able to post in the CC forum and you'll see when something is being talked about.
