Sigh...It's a costly lesson for Getz, wear a fucking visor! This could have been prevented so easily.

I didn't expect it to be, unless a player gets cut around the eyes, or takes one to the jaw it's generally just something you need to tough out.

Yup, but good to see it isn't serious you never know with a puck to the face.
Now we take bets if he comes back with a visor and how long he actually keeps it. Bets?

I'm thinking either no visor, or one for maybe 1-2 weeks.

I'll bet he wears a visor for the rest of his career.

Well i remember him wearing a visor for quite some time but he always had it tilted so far up that it looked like he was basically not wearing one...

like this. Look at the angle of the visor compared to the lower front of the helmet. Maybe this was just international competition?

Just when the Chicago Blackhawks appeared to getting healthy, they may be forced to deal with another key injury.

According to Tim Sassone of the Daily Herald, Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville has confirmed that captain Jonathan Toews will be out a "couple weeks."

I only clarified because the last I recall, you had issue with the word couple when it applied to food Shiv, as in a couple chips, nachos, chocolate bars, entire chickens etc. ;)

In other news Crosby's Streak ENDED Tonight.
